Golf Around! Crack

Just a small drop to the corner can crack polycarbonate and you need to make sure that the plates were not damaged. Also, any repair needs to be secure enough to survive the refill and replacement in the rack or any other handling of this very heavy package. How old is this bank of batteries? Boils can be big and reach the size of a golf ball. Several skin conditions can resemble boils. They include cystic acne, infected sebaceous cysts, and other skin infections. I’m sure that most golfers would have had this problem at some point. You look at your club and the ferrule has come up or lose. The first things that slip into your mind are; is the head coming off? Is the shaft breaking? Or maybe just – my beautiful clubs don’t look as good as they could.

Don’t worry. This is a fairly common problem and one that is easy to fix.

Firstly, let’s check if the head is actually coming off. There are two ways you can do this:

1) Put the head between your feet and try to twist the shaft. Is there a clicking sound? Does the shaft move? If so, stop using it and re-set the shaft (I will be covering this soon).

2) Check the length has not changed by placing the club next to the clubs either side of the club. For example, if it is your 8 iron, stand it next to your 7 and 9. Look at the length of the clubs. Does the size graduation look right? Does it fit between them evenly? If not, the head may be coming off.

You can see here that the lengths are equal and even. Pictured is my 6 iron to Pitching Wedge.

These are not fail safe tests, however, it is most likely that it’s just the ferrule coming lose. Now, let’s fix that.

What you will need:

– Grip cloth or a rubber glove
– Hair dryer
– Epoxy glue (optional)
– Toothpick (optional)
– Acetone and a rag (optional)

Step 1:

Use the hair dryer to gently heat the ferrule in order to break the glue bond. Yes, it did pay off buying the missus a good hair dryer for her birthday! Slowly does it here, you don’t need too much heat. Just enough to loosen the ferrule so heat and try, heat and try. You may not even need any heat. I moved one of my ferrules back into place without any heat (this is where you would use glue to re-set it – see below).

Alternate Method

Mix up the epoxy and using a toothpick carefully place the glue around the bottom of the ferrule (between it and the club head). Slide the ferrule back into place and clean up any excess glue with acetone.

Step 2:

Use your grip cloth or rubber glove to twist and push the ferrule back into place. This can take quite a bit of force. Get a good grip and go!

Step 3:

You’re done. Hit the course with your awesome looking clubs.

Hairline crack in driver shaft near hoselPosted by classicgold on 5/7/19 at 10:02 am
I bought a Mizuno ST180 driver with a Tensei CK White xtra stiff shaft about 8 months ago. It was a demo club, but I'm left handed and this one hadn't been hit yet. I got fitted for the shaft at Tee It UP Golf, and they sent me on my way. I have hit the driver great up until my last few times out. I have been spraying the ball wayyyy left my last 2 times to play, and I had no clue why. I checked the shaft yesterday, and it has a little crack going vertically down the shaft going into the hosel. I have a few questions regarding this:
Has anyone ever cracked a shaft right at the hosel?
How much would that affect the integrity of the shaft and ball flight?
What is your normal procedure for a cracked shaft with your local golf shop? I'm guessing warranty won't cover a demo shaft.
I'm heading over there today to get this fixed while spending as little money as possible, so I guess I'll find answers sooner rather than later. Just wanted to get a few other opinions on the matter.

I would contact Mizuno directly. Taylormade and Callaway will make it right. They will send you new clubs and a shipping label to send back the bad one.

Brought it back to Tee It Up. They will contact Mizuno for me, and they will send one to me free. They said Mizuno is really easy to deal with and sends one back pretty quickly.
I’m just glad there was actually something wrong with my club, and I didn’t just start slicing the ball 70 yds left on my own.

My man - it is Mizuno
They will hook you up - no shipping and a new club - need to ensure they have your specs (grip, shaft, any adjustment to loft or lie, tipped, etc.)
You will be happy.

You cracked your shaft, and Ping sent you the newer version of the driver?
I will be ecstatic if Mizuno sends me an ST190. That all black carbon fiber looks amazing.
